In order to effectively safeguard and preserve the entire mangrove forest and marine biodiversity within the state of Maharashtra, the Mangrove Cell Mumbai was established under the purview of the Forest Department in 2012.
Complaint in the form of encroachment, demolition of mangrove forest, unauthorized construction, debris filling in Mangrove Forest area, etc.
through e-mail as well as by post and other means through Mangrove Cell, Mumbai, which are Mangrove Forest areas in the State of Maharashtra and it is received through citizens in all the regional offices under this cell.
It is planned to create an app called Grievance redress mechanism on Mangrove to bring all types of complaints received in the various office on a single platform.
So that it will be convenient to save the summary of all the complaints received by the Mangrove Cell.
